I'm writing a Zombie Apocalypse story that I hope to actually publish one day. I'm confident that this story would actually get done considering the support I have for it. In this story, I hope to make appearances from each of the military branches. I have friends that are/were in the Army, Air Force, and the Navy... but none from the Marines. I'm the type of person that likes to get my shit right and use proper terminology as well as respect the Armed Forces by going by what they do/use be it from a certain type of military tactic, to what military vehicle they'd use, down to what combat knife would be preferred lol. I have a huge admiration for the military and I don't want to offend/piss off anyone by using the wrong information. I've tried looking information up on the internet, but it's not really going through . I learn best when people tell me things... and if I had a knowledgeable Marine, I'd be much appreciated.

I'd prefer it to be someone that's been in the Marines at least from 2006 and sooner, but any further back experience is alright lol, I just need to refer to some things that's possibly happened because there are chapters dedicated on going back into a flashback to show more background on the main characters. I just need to know a couple of thing to make it realistic; I understand that there's information that's not allowed to be talked about, so I just need like little bits of information like what type of vehicle would be best suited them driving in some situations or what it was like staying in the barracks.

As for the character, here's a little bit of information.
The main character is a United States Marine, MOS 0311 (Rifleman) Named Jon 'Rock' Barrons. He's in his early 30's (probably 33) and as for Rank I was hoping to make him an E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant). He's been in the military since Jr ROTC at 16 (if applicable). He's stationed in Kaneohe, Hawaii and is at DFW Airport when the outbreak happens.

As for payment if one truly desires it, I could give some points (I'm dirt broke money wise, sorry), but all I'm wanting is information on the Marines. I also hope to make a new friend from this experience. I'm absolutely excited from this and I hope to meet someone that would be just as excited to help out! In exchange for the help given, I'll keep in contact of course and give information about the story as it moves along, there will be credit given in the book for the help, and if it gets published, a free copy would be given!
